Help With ~ New York Times Academic Pass

Create an Account

1. Go to accessnyt.com.

2. Search for and select Hamilton College. You will be redirected to the NYT registration page.

3. Click "Create Account" and complete the fields. You must use your @hamilton.edu email address.

* The confirmation email may be routed to your spam folder. You must click the link in this email to complete the registration and claim your Complimentary Pass.

5. Download the free NYT apps.

Q. What if I already have a paid personal NYTimes.com digital subscription?

A. It's your choice whether to keep your paid subscription or use Hamilton's NYT Academic Site License.

If you're using your Hamilton email address for a paid personal subscription you must cancel it first before you can associate it with Hamilton's site license. Cancel by contacting NYT Customer Care. Please read the details about the NYTimes Academic Site License Program before you decide to cancel. The New York Times Academic Site License has some restrictions that your personal subscription may not have.

Q. What if I've already registered my Hamilton email address with the NYT?

A. You may have at some point registered with the NYTimes.com using your Hamilton email, even though you don't have a personal subscription. In order to use the Academic Pass, you need to first login to NYTimes.com, and then follow the registration steps above. Once you received the confirmation email from NYTimes.com, you will then have access through the Academic Pass.
