Ets Haim is the oldest still functioning Jewish library in the world. It was founded in 1616 and has been housed in the historical complex of the Portuguese Jewish community of Amsterdam since 1675. This website holds images and descriptions of the 560 Jewish manuscripts (47,000 folios) from Ets Haim’s holdings.

The portal Compact Memory comprises 500 Jewish newspapers and journals of the German speaking area of the years 1768–1938 and beyond. These periodicals represent the complete religious, political, social, literary and academic spectrum of the Jewish community and the "Science of Judaism", thus constituting a major source for the research on Judaism in the Modern Age.
Since its founding in 1917, JTA has earned a reputation for journalistic integrity, outstanding reporting and insightful analysis.
