How Do I Find ~ Videos

Streaming Video at Hamilton

Streaming videos offer faculty and students many options for viewing -- in-class, out-of-class, from off campus, and they're available 24/7. These collections, designed for educational use, include award winning documentaries, educational films, historic newsreels and theatrical releases.

More Video Options

LITS has nearly 10,000 DVDs and VHS videos.

  • DVDs are located on the 2nd floor, Burke Library
  • VHS videos can be requested and retrieved from off-site storage in 1-3 days

We also provide links to public domain and Creative Commons licensed video content listed in our Open Educational Resources and the Images and Multimedia research guides. The guides highlight stable repositories of video and other multimedia content that can be used in teaching and student presentations and projects.

How Do I Find Videos?

How to find videos:

  • Search the library catalog by keyword or title. Select "Audio Visual" and "Videos" from the "Resource Type" drop-down menu to find films available in streaming, DVD, and VHS format.
  • Browse and search the websites of Films on Demand, Kanopy, and Met Opera on Demand.
  • Search IMDB or JustWatch to see if the film is available on a streaming service you may subscribe to, or is available to rent or purchase.
