Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field of study, and a type of technology, that enables computers and digital devices to learn, read, write, create and analyze.1
Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence technology that can generate new content, including text, images, and other forms of media. It leverages machine learning algorithms to understand patterns in existing data and then uses this understanding to create new, original content that resembles the input data in structure but is different in specifics.2
The resources in this guide were selected and reviewed by a Hamilton College Library & Information Technology Services staff working group. We strive for currency, accuracy, and relevance in our selections, with the goal of providing resources that will serve all members of the Hamilton community regardless of their current level of AI knowledge.
